Please help identifing

Sorry for what may be stupid question, but can someone tell me what transducer

or temp probe this is? It was attached to my temp/speed connection (according to diagram) on 997C. It goes thru hull and was leaking to me it looks like piece maybe broken off not sure. Thanks
