New 899

Post by Scoleman73 » Tue Mar 08, 2016 8:09 pm

I just purchased a new 899 for the front of the boat, have mailed the transom ducer back to h-bird for a swap to the trolling motor transducer. I have a 798 at the wheel and plan on networking them together but is there anyway I can use the same transom ducer for both units until the new one arrives?

Ethernet will share a transducer. Turn Sonar OFF on the 899 when you connect the two units.

Well I took the boat out yesterday and the only thing that would show on the 899 was gps waypoints. Couldn't get the front unit to display any sonar.

Download the Ethernet manual from the Humminbird website and read it.

If is very simple if you read the instructions.
